Asheville Tour

We pulled out all the stops when designing our Asheville tour and we still had a hard time condensing it down to a 4 day itinerary. Asheville, NC is continually rated as one of the best places in America to live and partly due to the proximity of the Appalachian Mountains. Asheville is situated in a valley with beautiful views in every direction and even more beautiful roads. From downtown, you can travel in any direction and be on winding mountain roads within just a few minutes. Prices starting from $989.99 per person. CLICK HERE for more pricing information.

Asheville Tour – 4 Day Itinerary

Untitled

Day 1 – Approximate Ride Time 5 Hours 31 min – 189.5 MI

Depart from the Aloft Hotel in downtown Asheville, NC on your Harley Davidson and see the beautiful scenery along a stretch of the Blue Ridge Parkway as you ride to the highest mountain east of the Mississippi River, Mount Mitchell. Take some time to see the museum and the overlook on top with a very short walk.

After you visit Dr. Mitchell, continue north to our next stop in Little Switzerland, NC. Here is a great place to stop for lunch and you are likely to see many other motorcycle riders as this is one of the most popular hangout spots.

This afternoon you will visit Marion, Burnsville, and Linville, NC via some of our personal favorite roads before heading back toward Asheville for dinner and a relaxing evening on the town.

Day 2 – Approximate Ride Time 7 Hours 1 min – 255.1 MI

The second day on our tour brings more curves and a longer ride time. The day starts off with one of the most popular motorcycle riding roads in the Asheville area and it is famous for its switchback curves and amazing scenery.

After a stop for refreshments and rest we head down the mountain toward Hendersonville, NC. On our way you will ride on some challenging but rewarding tight curves. This winding road follows the river and brings you into Hendersonville, where you can grab a bite to eat at one of the local restaurants.

Next on the ride is the Dupont State Forest and beautiful Cedar Mountain with amazing overlooks into the South Carolina Foothills.

You will have the opportunity to visit Waynesville and Brevard, NC in the last part of the ride today where you can check out sliding rock and looking glass falls before returning to the Aloft Hotel for the evening.

Day 3 – Approximate Ride Time 6 Hours 1 min – 287.3 MI

The third day ride is referred to as the North ride because you will head out North of Asheville for your first destination just over the border in Virginia. One of our favorite towns on the ride is Damascus, VA home of the Virginia Creeper Trail for bicycles. The reason this is one of our favorite towns is because of the amazing roads that surround it. Every road that leads into and out of Damascus is picture perfect for motorcycle riding.

Following the route out of Damascus, you find yourself in Jefferson, NC where you can enjoy a refreshing stop to refuel you and your bike.

We follow the route into Boone, NC where you can explore this booming college town and the beauty of WNC. Boone is the original home of our company and still gives us the warm fuzzies today.

From Boone, we head south to Asheville where the downtown nightlife awaits you.

Day 4 – Approximate Ride Time 6 Hours 36 min – 255.8 MI

Today is the last day of touring and we need to get going early so be sure to check out and ready to ride at sun up in order to get everything in.

Ahead of you lies the Tail of the Dragon and the Cheratolah Skyway along with what many consider to be the most beautiful part of the Blue Ridge Parkway. We saved the best for last!

Follow the route to Cherokee and then onto Robbinsville where you can ride the skyway and then the dragon or for those who just can’t wait any longer, take the loop in reverse and tackle the famous tail of the dragon first. Don’t forget to smile for the camera.

As you finish your loop back in Robbinsville, you have conquered many of the best motorcycling roads in the U.S.A. From Robbinsville, you can follow the route back to Asheville to turn in your Harley Davidson and riding gear.
